I decided to make a tutu for Piper's first birthday. I wanted to make one that had ribbon on the ends and I wanted it 'nicer' than the tie-on ones. I've made the tie-on ones before and they are great for some purposes, but I definitely prefer the ones involving a sewing machine. (From my experience, the tie-on tutus end up a knotted mess at some point.) This was surprisingly easy and I knew it would last the length of my sentimental obsession with keeping every little thing my kids touch. :)
I also made a ruffle butt on a onesie and a party hat! I'm pretty happy with the outcome! She looked so stinkin' cute in it as well...if I don't say so myself.
